This numerical work deals with the direct identification of bending rigidities of thin anisotropic composite plates by using the so-called virtual fields method. This method is based on the principle of virtual work with the use of particular virtual fields. The interest lies in the direct identification of all the unknown parameters from one single test giving a unique heterogeneous stress field. This field is such that no direct relatioship exists between the unknwon parameters and the measured data.Two new aspects are developed in the present work.
