This study explores the emotional and cognitive functioning as well as the emotion-cognition relationships in 40 patients suffering from multiple sclerosis (MS) for ≤ 5 years. Emotions are considered in terms of individual's emotional characteristics, emotional states as well as components of cognitive tasks. They are assessed using french adaptations of validated tools. Multiple sclerosis patients are compared to a matched group of healthy controls. The results highlight the presence of early emotional and cognitive disorders in multiple sclerosis.
