This research is interested in the dynamics of the student's activity in the classroom context in a badminton lesson. We decided to concentrate on a match situation as a " privileged study situation " (Grison, 1998). The student's activity is described from the research program of the " course of action " (Theureau, 1992, 2004, in press ; Theureau & Jeffroy, 1994). Six voluntary students took part in this study for several lessons of their badminton cycle. The analysis focused particularly on the closest game for the student in each lesson.
