During cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging the ElectroCardioGram recorded for synchronization is highly corrupted by various electromagnetic artifacts obstructing correct detection of the cardiac cycle. One of the contaminating sources is the MagnetoHydroDynamic effect that is due to the movement of the blood's charged particles in the magnetic environment. In this work, a reliable method for double synchronization on the cardiac and respiratory rhythm is developed which efficiently enhances the quality of high resolution cardiac MR images.
