Firms' lobbying of public authorities is a managerial practice increasingly common. It seems that several lobbying strategies exist but these have failed, to a large extent, to be carefully assessed by the literature. Interestingly, value creation for shareholders, a concept that is commonly used in finance, can be resorted to as a yardstick to measure the effects induced by lobbying.
