The PEEC method showed excellent performances in modelling power electronic structures to bring comparison with the finite element method because it can take into account 3D geometry of complex conductors for instance in rectifiers and inverters. However, needing a compact structure led to cohabit magnetic parts close to power circuits. The cohabitation makes CEM performance qualification of devices more difficult. Unlike the finite element method, the PEEC method can not solve problems having magnetic materials easily.
