The increasing use of miniaturized electronic devices has led to the developement of lithium microbatteries as miniaturized power sources. Here, we report on the synthesis and characterization of pure and Ag- or Fe-doped V2O5 thin films, deposited by magnetron sputtering or co-sputtering, as positive electrode in lithium microbatteries. Among the different deposition parameters, the oxygen partial pressure plays an important role.
