The present work concerns the study of the impact of texturing by Instant Controlled Pressure-drop (DIC) on the operation of solid - liquid extraction in the cases of oligosaccharides from the Tephrosia purpurea seeds and of the anthocyanins from calyces of Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa); our objective has been to improve the extraction kinetics and yields. A fundamental analysis has proved the importance of the diffusion of both solvent into the solid matrix and the extracted molecules in the solvent, and recognized it as the main limiting process.
