It is mostly an academic approach using Direct Numerical Simulations (D.N.S.) of turbulent channel flowElectromagnetic actuators are made with ``Wall flushed'' electrodes and ``sub-surface'' magnets. They can generate local volumic Lorentz forces within a sea-water turbulent boundary layer.
