The significant consumption of the world's energy supplies as well as the current awareness of ecological problems leads the manufacturers to increase the efficiency of electromechanical systems. The study undertaken in this report concerns the calculation of magnetic losses in electrical machines. Magnetic losses are not well known although they represent an important part of the power balance. With this intention, we cleverly instrumented an induction machine both magnetically and thermally. This enabled us to locate and study the evolution of flux densities inside the machine, for different operating conditions.
