A new multiscale computational strategy is developed for the analysis of highly heterogeneous structures. It involves an automatic homogenization procedure in space as well as in time. This strategy could replace the standard homogenization techniques in several domains of application. The study of several key points constraining the performances of this strategy have led to new tools. A new consistent choice is presented for discretizing the interface quantities within the framework of mixed domain decomposition methods. An approximation technique of the homogenized problem based on the introduction of a third scale is also presented. Finally, a robust approximation technique is introduced for the resolution of linear evolution equations. ...
