The diagnosis of tumours at an early stage is an essential key to fight cancer, that is why many diagnostic techniques are under development, particularly in the biomedical optics domain. The work undertaken in this thesis has been done to contributeto the evolution of these techniques. In this manuscript, we propose a description and a comparison of statistical and deterministic models implementedto simulate the propagation of light in biological tissues by Monte Carlo, hybrid Monte Carlo and finite elements, taking into account the exogenous fluorescence process. The efficiency of the finite elementmethod allows us to study the sensitivity of time-resolved fluorescence signals by analysing the influence of many structural and informal par...
