Acoustic Love wave sensors constitute an advantageous solution for the detection of (bio)chemical quantities in liquid environments. Those sensors present a notorious potential to result from mature industry (surface acoustic wave filters) and take advantage of proven technical benefits (gravimetric sensitivity, compensation for thermal effects, differential measurements). These works have developed measurement systems based on surface acoustic waves (SAW) sensor in liquid phase. Theoretical tools have been validated in this sense.
