Three microanalytical systems have been developed concerning the issues of environmental pollutants. A microfluidic system based on solid phase extraction pretreatment and fluorimetric detection has been designed for the determination of trace Pb2+ in drinking water. The mechanism and chemical kinetics of the complexation which is used for the fluorescent detection have been studied in depth. Another device for metal ion detection is an optofluidic sensor based on microcavity laser. Much attention is paid on the searching of effective microcavity materials, which are diblock copolymers in our study.
