The need to improve turbofan eciency leads the engineers to increase the combustion gas temperature. Components such as turbine blades or vanes are exposed to high thermal stresses. Several cooling techniques are commonly used to maintain a temperature in the metal that not damage the vane. Internal jet impingement cooling is the method we studied in this thesis, with the intention to best reproduce the complex geometry of the industrial working case. This way, we considered an injection trough a thin plate feeded by an upstream crossow.
