This thesis report presents some new methods to improve the channel estimation, equalization, and coding for inter symbol interference channels. We begin by a new iterative procedure for channel estimation and detection, named Observation Separation, in a turbo equalization scheme for systems using high level modulation. We extend this technique to the mapping iterative detection. We suggest a binary mapping optimized of 16-QAM constellation to increase the coding gain. Then, we present a decoding algorithm for non binary codes which is accelerated by using the Fast Hadamard Transformer, and with reduced complexity thanks to the duel code.
