This PhD work, carried out in collaboration with Onera, is in the domain of battlefield surveillance. The goal is to develop multi-source data fusion approaches for wide area situation assessment, the approaches being semi-automatic almost real time. The two-step method, developed for the situation assessment, consists of two granularity levels. The first step is a global situation evaluation using a new multitarget tracking algorithm, a hybridization of two existing algorithms: the GM-CPHD filter and the MHT with road constraints. This algorithm, which uses GMTI data, can be applied to resolved targets as well as closely spaced targets.
