The last human fossils discovered in Europe (Dmanissi, Ceprano 1, Gran Dolina) complecate the phyletic theories concerning Hominids before the Neandertals: the Anteneandertals. In order to better understand the phyletic relationships between the various known species (Homo georgicus, H. cepranensis, H. antecessor, H. heidelbergensis and H. neanderthalensis), we studied the morphology of original fragments and propose two computer-generated reconstructions of two incomplete fossil specimens from the middle Pleistocene: the Tautavel Man, from Caune of Arago, Pyrénées-Orientales, France, and an unpublished specimen, Biache-Saint-Vaast 2, Pas-de-Calais, France. Digital imagery allowed us to correct the taphonomic deformations, to assemble the f...
