From an analytical reading of general surveys and the material collected during a fieldwork (59 semi-structured interviews of young pupils between 14 and 18 years old with an internet connection at home), we suggest approaching the reality of the informal informative practices of a group of teenagers. The discriminating individuality of these practices through a typology based on the uses of Web as means of information is so approached. This work highlights the dominating place of the academic Web searches, prescribed or not, within these common manners at the same time as it insists on the individual initiative as the marker of an increasingly individualized report in the information and also the knowledge.
