This work is part of the traffic noise reduction programme. The tire/road contact is the principal source of this phenomenon at speeds greater than 50 km/h. In this context, a new approach to modeling the tire vibration behavior during rolling on rigid road surface is developed. For the tire, a periodic model is used to compute Green's functions of the tire in the contact area. This model leads to a significant reduction of computing time reduction. Tire's response can be modeled in a large frequency range. The model is compared to a classic finit elements model built using Abaqus software.
