The electro-osmosis phenomenon is of great interest in several ¯elds : soil science, site remediation, biotechnology, ... In part I, a modelling of electro-osmosis in deformable porous media is proposed. The expressions of dissipations highlight the contribution of transfer phenomena and mechanics to entropy growth. In part II, the transport relation of an electrolyte is established. An experimental device was developed in order to analyse the coupling between hydraulic and electric phenomena. The material is Agar gel, a biphasic gel widely used in biomedical engineering as a reference medium for soft tissues.
