The evolution of new telecommunication services, which requires large bandwidth, challenges bit-rates transported by each optical channel of a WDM network. Bit-rates of optical channels have now reached 100 Gbit/s. This increase in bit-rate must be supported by new features in optical network. Improve flexibility and ensure transparency of optical network, are very important challenges that telecom operators face today.
