The analytical solution of the stability problem of a solid suspension (rigid spherical particles) in the system of cylindrical Taylor-Couette was conducted. We are based on the work of Ali and Lueptow (2002) to formulate the equations governing the stability of the flow in a linear theory. These equations are valid in the approximation of small gap configuration and aim to predict the primary instability. For this purpose, we used a variational method such as the Galerkin method to solve the eigenvalue problem leading to establish the stability diagram related to the wave number in the vicinity of the critical state of development of the first instability.
