The solar radiation has biological, physiological, climatic, economical, political, social, cultural repercussions. The study of the solar energy available at ground over ali the Earth especially requires the use of remote sensing data. To evaluate and quantify the solar effects from space, it is necessary to design elaborated image processing methods. ln our study, we analyse each state of the treatment of Meteosat images, used in the solar energy evaluation. First of ali, we present results of the cartography of daily global solar radiation in West Africa.
