LIFETIME ASSESSMENT OF DETERIORATING STRUCTURES NOWADAYS FOCUSES ON THE ISOLATED EFFECTS OF THE MAIN DETERIORATION PROCESSES. HOWEVER, IT IS PARAMOUNT TO STUDY THE COUPLED EFFECTS OF VARIOUS DETERIORATION PROCESSES BECAUSE SUCH INTERACTIONS COULD REDUCE STRUCTURAL INTEGRITY ; STRENGTHING IS AN ESSENTIAL TOOL TO COMPENSATE STRENGTH LOSSES AND/OR TO SUPPORT ADDITIONAL LOADS. EXTERNALY BONDED FIBER REINFORCED POLYMER FRP COMPOSITES ARE AN INCREASINGLY ADOPTED TECHNOLOGY FOR THE RENEWAL OF EXISTING CONCRETE STRUCTURES.
