Macroautophagy, thereafter referred to as autophagy, is a lysosomal degradation which plays a key role in immunity by directly degrading intracellular pathogens but also by favouring innate and adaptive immune responses. However, several viruses have evolved strategies to inhibit, exploit or even hijack autophagy for their own benefit. The aim of this thesis was to analyse the role of autophagy in the course of measles virus (MeV) infection.
