There exist several applications of magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs). They are commonly used as a label, targeting or contrast agents. This thesis is focused on the performance of magnetic methods for their detection. The sensing capability of the developed detection systems in terms of location and evaluation of concentrations as part of 1D and 2D measurements are the key points. Two detection systems were performed, involving sensing into a microfluidic microchannel for biomedical application (1D) and magnetic imaging using MNPs (MNPI) (2D) by using giant magnetoimpedance.
