Molecularly Imprinted Polymers show highly selective affinity towards the target molecule and are used inmany applications. In this context, the technology is used for preparing selective polymers for benzo(a)pyrene(BaP) with the aim of sensor fabrication. The addition of a redox tracer inside the polymer allows thepossibility of direct target detection by an electrochemical technique.
