Electron and Ion beams are at the base of many instrumental techniques used to explore, to analyse and to modify materials from the micrometer to the manometer scale (Electronic Microscopy, Electron Spectrometry, Focused Ion beams techniques…). Spatial and Energetic resolutions of these techniques are strongly dependent on its source‘s properties and particularly their working temperature. In fact, for more than ten years, the potential of ionised cold atoms have been intensively studied.
