Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), the most common adulthood leukemia, is characterized by an accumulation of abnormal CD5+ B-lymphocytes in the peripheral blood, bone marrow, and secondary lymphoid organs. The origin and pathogenic mechanisms of CLL are not fully understood. Identifying the deregulation of new genes is important to improve our understanding about CLL development and evolution, and to propose new targeted strategies.
