Nowadays, the use of Additive Manufacturing processes keeps growing in the industry. Among the numerous kinds of AM processes, metallic additive manufacturing processes, and metallic Additive Layer Manufacturing in particular, are the most interesting from a mechanical designer point of view. Several research studies have been conducted on the topic of Design For Additive Manufacturing, mostly discussing the choice of AM processes or presenting the redesign of parts.
