Gastrointestinal (GI) procedures, specifically, oesophageal interventions involve periodic monitoring or surveillance of the internal anatomy, which involve obtaining biopsies at different regions along the oesophagus. The tracking and relocalization of these biopsy sites ``inter-operatively'' poses a significant challenge for providing targeted treatments. This thesis, clarifies the concept of relocalization, and analyses the need for a platform to aide GI endoscopy.
