In a evolving environment - unpredictable regional projections of the climate change, important population growth associated with considerable land use changes - hydrological cycle and water resources are critical issues. This work aims to deepen our knowledge of the Upper Oueme hydrological functioning (Sudanian climate, Benin) taking into account all the terms and processes of the continental hydrological cycle. First, the hydrological functioning is analysed at the hillslope scale using the Hydrus 2D software. Field measurements from the hydrometeorologic observing system AMMA-CATCH are used.
