The aim of the Hellaz project is to measure separatly the fluxes of the two main solar neutrino sources, pp and beryllium, using neutrino - electron elastic scattering in a time projection chamber (TPC) filled with helium at 20 bars. Knowing both the energy and the direction of the recoiling electron, the neutrino energy can be retrieved through the kinematics of the radiation. This electron creates a track in the TPC (5 cm long for 100 keV), ionizing the gaz along this rack. The ionization electrons which are created drift under an electric field and are individually detected in X, Y and Z directions with ultrafast MICROMEGAS chambers.
