Detecting life in the Solar System is one of the great challenges of new upcoming space missions. One way to detect organic matter on extra-terrestrial objects might be the use of biochips. This miniaturized device is composed of biological sensitive systems, such as antibodies, that are immobilized on a slide. It allows the detection of specific organic molecules designed to sign life. In the case of in situ measurements (from samples extracted from the planetary soil), the main concern is to ensure the survival of the biochip all along the mission time.
