Our country has gradually stepped into an aging society. As aging causes many pathophysiological changes in the elderly, such as multiple organ dysfunction, low immune function and poor nutritional status, it is difficult to cure elderly patients with critical illness in clinical practice. In this article, we intend to analyze the main clinical characteristics and treatment strategies for elderly patients with critical illness, and explore a guidance program for the treatment of those elderly
