In less than a decade, Peru has become the world's third largest avocado exporter and the leading counter-season supplier of the European market. And the average of 50 000 to 55 000 t exported in recent years is only a beginning: the orchards that are not yet fruiting and planting in progress will make it possible to double the export potential in the medium term.
