Engaging stakeholders in the development of graduate employability skills in healthcare: working together to achieve success.

Employability skills are important in the increasingly complex, diverse and ever-changing healthcare environment. These skills are beyond the subject specific knowledge and technical skills and make the difference between being good at a subject and being good at doing a job. This requires students' acquisition of social and coping skills as well as emotional intelligence in order to support them through their future life of work.\ud Educational institutions support and prepare graduates to develop their ability to use knowledge and skills in the workplace effectively. However, the key stakeholders need to work together in collaboration to develop employability skills in graduates/employees through reflective practice. This will promote graduate confidence and competence in the work place through continuous reflection and self-improvement.\ud The key learning points identified are:\ud \ud • To determine/explore employability skills of students in health care.\ud • To identify strategies to develop stakeholders roles.\ud • To examine the best practice and strategies for continuing the development of students’ employability skills
