Introduction We describe the protocol for a recently funded three-year study (Yorkshire Cancer Research). Our aims are to develop a new evidence based fertility preservation (FP) decision aid (DA) and evaluate the impact of administering this resource at the point of cancer diagnosis/cancer treatment planning stage in oncology. While a few DAs exist to support the FP process, they are exclusively for breast cancer patients, and none have been developed for the UK female cancer population.
