Many municipalities deal with multidimensional problems, such as excessive alcohol consumption among youths, through network collaboration. In order to increase the efficacy of this approach a well-functioning society is important. This study outlines the network collaboration between active members of the network Safe Partying in Amersfoort. Furthermore, this research focuses on the last pillar concerning effective alcohol prevention policy: public support, especially among parents (Reynolds, 2003). A qualitative study is conducted to illustrate network collaboration and attitudes of parents with regard to alcohol and youths. In addition, the social involvement of parents is researched.
