'What Else Was There?': Women Writers, a More-Than-Human World, and the Anthropocene Narrative

In this thesis, I analyse three novels that carefully consider global warming and all its consequences in a changing world: Maggie Gee’s The Flood (2004), Sarah Hall’s The Carhullan Army (2007), and Jeanette Winterson’s The Stone Gods (2007).
