Ab wann nutzen Kinder die Intonation zum Ausdruck neuer Information?

In einer Studie am Max-Planck-Institut in Nijmegen wurde untersucht, wie und wann Kinder die Regeln der Intonation in der niederländischen Sprache beherrschen. Die Ergebnisse zeigten, dass sie mehrere Entwicklungsstufen durchlaufen, bevor sie im Alter von sieben oder acht Jahren so intonieren wie die Erwachsenen, die einen Fokus (sprich: neue Information) mit einem fallenden Akzent markieren.This study investigated how children acquire intonation as a focus-marker in Dutch. The use of intonation in different information structural contexts was analysed for children from four age groups (1- to 2-year-olds, 3-year-olds, 4- to 5-year-olds, and 7- to 8-year-olds) in both spontaneous and elicited production.
