The goal of this diploma thesis was to design a beam line capable of mass separating 192Os with 5 keV beam energy from other isotopes as well as other unwanted ions. The beam line consists of a negative ion sputter source, einzel lens, electrostatic quadrupoles, and a bending magnet for mass separation. All components of the beam line, in particular the sputter ion source are presented and their function explained in detail. Simulations of the beam line are compared with and a mass spectrum measurement from the first operation of the beam line setup
