The causal agent of Kiwifruit Bacterial Canker, Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa), currently is the most damaging pathogen in the world capable of attacking the plants of Actinidia spp. Control strategies have been developed since its recent release (2008) in EU, but its incidence remains significant.
