Wouldn’t it be nice to know the formula to having success in well-being, health, academia, careers and relationships; or self-control related behavior? Self-control is a key variable in these behaviours. The focus of this study was the potential mediating role of task-aversiveness in self-control and performing self-control related behavior. It was expected that task-aversiveness serves to clarify the nature of this relationship. Trait self-control and task-aversiveness were measured and participants had to perform a self-control related task in an experimental research design. Outcomes showed that there was no significant relationship between self-control and the self-control related behavior that has been measured. Task-aversiveness was n...
