Traditionally, university graduates take up employment relevant to their major or professional training or both. Towards the end of the last century and the beginning of the twenty-first, the trend is taking an about-turn. Along with technological advancement and the development of the knowledge society, there have also been an increasing number of graduates engaged in fields that may bear little or no relevance to their undergraduate or even postgraduate study.
