The Burushaski personal and demonstrative pronominal system is correlated in its entirety with Indo-European. This close correlation, together with the extensive grammatical correspondences in the nominal and verbal systems (given as an addendum), advances significantly the hypothesis of the genetic affiliation of Burushaski with Indo-European. The article includes a comprehensive discussion of the Burushaski-Indo-European phonological and lexical correspondences. It proposes that Burushaski is an IndoEuropean language which at some stage of its development was in contact with an agglutinative system.95 page(s
