Cranet-Macquarie survey on international strategic human resource management : report on the Australian findings

This report provides the results of a survey of Australian human resource policies in large private and public organizations during the first part of the twenty first century. The survey is part of a longitudinal, comparative study of human resource policies and practices involving 32 countries. This is the third survey conducted in Australia, with previous surveys conducted in 1996 and 1999. This report provides an overview of the key findings from the Australian survey. The basis of the survey is a questionnaire completed by Human Resource Managers on behalf of their organizations. The research reflects policies current in 2005 and reports on changes in the three years between 2002-2005. It also provides an opportunity for organizations to benchmark against other Australian organizations and to identify trends in human resource management practices.33 page(s
