This study examines attitudes of Palestinian refugees regarding the right of return, the role of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO) and the current peace process. It reports results from a self-completed quantitative survey of 1200 refugees in the West Bank. Participants were recruited from Community Centres, Local Refugees Committee Centres, health centres and United Nations offices which are located in each camp. The results showed that participants believe the Israeli – Palestinian negotiation process will lead to a just solution to the refugee question. The study finds broad, although not unanimous support for the role played by the PLO, with this support being strongest among older refugees.15 page(s
