Purpose: The Australian workforce is increasingly ethnically diverse. This diversity has led to the need to develop fair and equitable reward systems that motivate staff and satisfy employees' needs. Finding a means to improve equity in remuneration is one of the most significant challenge facing the health care sector. The purpose of this study is to empirically test individual differences to ascertain how employee attitudes differ with regard to equity sensitivity orientations and how diverse cultural backgrounds may influence employee perception of fairness.
